Among the celebrated Discorsi of the Sixteenth Century scholar Vincenzo Borghini, particularly interesting for the Florentine heraldry and history is his treaty Dell'arme delle famiglie fiorentine: here reprinted in the Eighteenth Century version edited by the renown scholar Domenico Maria Manni, who provided the text with plenty of explanatory notes.
